Summary:

While it's not the most up to date mini projector, you can't ignore this extraordinary quality for the price. Because it includes all the accessories in the box you don't have to go hunting them down with third party stores. It projects iDevices brilliantly and is a great little projector for sharing personal media.

Looking for an affordable way to project your iPhone, iPod or iPad to the wall?

Most of the mini projectors out there that do this functionality and include all the cables cost a fair penny.

The Optoma EP-PK-101 not only projects your iPhone, iPod or iPad quite well but it is actually quite affordable and it comes with all the needed cables so you don’t have to go accessory hunting.

Mini Projector Features

Optoma EP-PK-101 Mini Projector The Optoma EP-PK-101 is an iPhone sized mini projector that connects flawlessly to your iDevice and lets you project movies and more.

It features a 10 ANSI lumen brightness rating and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.

While it’s certainly not the brightest mini projector on the market (not by a long shot) it’s probably one of the best featured mini projectors around at this price level. Currently it’s sitting between $100-120 which is super cheap for a projector.

What is even better is that it comes with all the connection cables that you need to connect to your iPhone, iPod or iPad.

Optoma EP-PK-101 Mini Projector You can also use the composite AV connector to connect to a range of other devices like DVD players, Bluray players, Camcorders, DV-Cams, and Digital Cameras enabled with standard composite AV Out.

Note though that this product does not connect to notebook computers, PCs, PDAs, cell phones, or other devices unless the device has composite output which is a bit of a bummer.

If you’re looking specifically for an iPhone/iPod projector though, it’s the bomb. It is quite small, just 1.97 x 0.59 x 4.06 inches (5 x 1.5 x 10.3 cms) and weighs just 4 ounces (~ 150 grams).

You can get a good quality, high contrast, 60″ (1.5m) image from the Optoma EP-PK-101 which is great for personal media sharing.

There are two rechargeable batteries included, and you can get up to 1.5 hours per battery.

Mini Projector Technology

Optoma EP-PK-101 Mini Projector The Optoma EP-PK-101 mini projector runs on DLP Technology with an LED light source. The LED light source has a lifetime over 20,000 hours.
