Summary:

The HPAX325AA is evidence that hardware giant HP are finally waking up to the world of mini projectors. Instead of letting it pass them by they've put out a fantastic little unit that is well equipped for the business person. It's a great traveller's companion and we think it's well designed and a solid buy at it's price point.

If you’re someone who presents professionally for a living then you’ll want a mini projector that is going to run nice and smooth with features that are complimentary to the way you work.

Enter the HP AX325AA notebook mini projector. A sleek handheld projection unit make for the discerning business presenter.

Everything about this mini projector says it means business. From it’s ultra bright 100 lumen display right down to it’s manual focus adjustable lens.

Mini Projector Features

HP AX325AA Notebook Mini Projector For a long while HP were behind the game when it came to releasing a competitive mini projector offering, but the HP AX325AA really shows that HP are bringing their ‘A’ game.

It’s no slouch with a native 858 x 600 SVGA resolution and a maximum brightness setting of 100 lumens thanks to LED lighting technology. That means you’ll be able to project nice and large on just about any surface and still have enough brightness left over to adjust for perfect presenting.

At a distance of 8.5 feet (~2.6m) you can expect to achieve an image size of around 60 inches (~152cm) which is pretty large. Large enough to warrant the addition of a portable projector screen.

Most mini projectors offer auto focus but if, for whatever reason, you need to adjust the focal point manually for projecting onto unusual surfaces the manual focus can come in handy. It’s one of those business only features that is not required, but appreciated all the same.

Weighing just over 14 ounces (approx 400grams) it’s not likely to throw you over your weight restrictions when taking it on flights. This makes it the ideal companion to your lightweight business laptop.

It’s compatible with all HP notebooks of course, but if your laptop has VGA out then it’s no problem hooking it up there as well.

Mini Projector Technology

Contrast ration for the HP AX325AA is 2000:1 which is quite generous.

The unit uses DLP with LED lighting technology which means no bulb replacements with over 10,000 hours of viewing pleasure. Expect to get around 5 years of life (or more, depending on use).

Compatibility is via standard VGA port which will be found on most laptops and devices with a Composite port.
